 His career highlight to date is shooting supermodel Frederique Van der Wal. Speaking of models, what does
Robert look for in a model?
"I look for positive energy, a fun spirit and natural beauty," he replies.
He finds his talent through word of mouth, in shopping malls and lunch cafes.
"It's just a matter of keeping your eyes open and soon enough you will see someone that will take your breath away," he says.
 "Often the girls that I approach are almost
embarrassed initially, thinking that I am joking or coming on to them. It is always great to watch their reactions when they see the results. It is almost as if they can't believe it's them."
Although Robert has spent a lot of time and effort developing a unique and personal style, he admires and respects the legendary Herb Ritts.
So, what about a philosophy?
"Don't bite the hand that feeds you," Robert replies and leaves the interpretation up to us
